Denis R. Janz received his Ph.D. from St. 1979年在多伦多大学迈克尔学院任教. 在那一年来到洛约拉之后, 他曾担任系主任和研究生院主任. 他于2000年被授予教务长杰出教授，并于2017年晋升为名誉教授.

In addition, he has held residential fellowships at the University of Louvain (1997); the Rockefeller Center in Bellagio (2001); The Tantur Institute for Ecumenical Studies in Jerusalem (2011); the Johannes a Lasco Bibliothek in Emden (2015); and the Fondatione per le Scienze Religiose Giovanni XXIII in Bologna (2016).
